When you work as hard as we do at Tigerprince Entertainment, you expect that every other company out there does too. You expect that the writing they boast on their website is truthful. You expect when you pay for something you get what you paid for in return. Tigerprince Entertainment was looking at revising our old Tigerprince Radio logo and trading it in for something that encompasses more than just radio. We plan to expand into some kick ass video shows this year and want a logo that stands for the overall business.

Over the past two weeks we’ve had several listeners (friends) send us concepts and we are thankful for the initiative but can’t accept the work (due to certain rules we try to abide by). We will get this matter resolved and have a kick ass logo to show for it! You just wait and see.

Internet friends, do your homework on companies that offer services online. Do not get into a sticky situation with someone you could have checked out on http://www.bbb.org. Do your homework and work with the solid businesses out there that take their work seriously.

Apple has issued a warning on its support pages regarding iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS overheating, marking the first time the company has officially acknowledged the problem. Reports that the iPhone 3GS is having overheating problems have surfaced last week, merely days after the devices was launched.

Over the last few days, many iPhone 3GS users have been reporting that Apple’s new iPhone 3GS is getting abnormally hot when used in various environments.

Apple has now issued a warning on its support knowledge base, which puts the blame on users. The warning prompts users not to leave their phones in a car because temperatures in parked cars can exceed the -20º and 45º C (-4º to 113º F) range the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS were designed to function in properly.

Apple says in the support article that “if the interior temperature of the device exceeds normal operating temperatures, you may experience the following as it attempts to regulate its temperature: the device stops charging, display dims, and/or weak cellular signal.”

Other conditions that Apple deems as possible overheating causes are: leaving the phone in direct sunlight for extended amounts of time or using certain applications in hot conditions or direct sunlight for a long time. An Apple overheating scenario is using GPS tracking in a car on a sunny day or listening to music while in direct sunlight.

Apple further advises hot iPhone 3G and 3GS owners to turn their device off when the above-mentioned temperature warning appears on screen and move it to a cooler environment, allowing the iPhone to cool down before resuming use.

Sounds like and XBOX 360 to me! Let’s see if this story gets bigger or swept under the rug.

Am I the only one that is getting tired of the Apple fan boys/girls going out of their way to say anyone who uses a pc is stupid? Apple lovers chastise anyone who uses a net book calling them cheap and none technical. How come we can’t just get along and agree to disagree?

If you use a mac more power to you. If you use a pc more power to you. Why is it such a big deal what hardware you use to do your work? Hopefully you are using your devices for work and not trying to prove how much money you have to spend. I personally use my cell phone to talk and not play games, listen to music or get directions.

Hearing Apple supporters talk about how much better their devices are makes me not want to try an iphone, ipod or mac. They seem like great tools for their various tasks but the people representing them are setting a bad precedence for what an Apple customer is.

Like the iMac, the all-in-one IdeaCentre A600 combines a monitor and CPU in a thin system. It will be on display at the Consumer Electronics Show from January 8 to 11 in Las Vegas.

Its wireless remote control is similar to Nintendo Wii’s Wii Remote, which allows users to interact with a video game by waving or pointing the game controller. Using motion-sensing technology, the Wii Remote becomes a racket when swinging during a tennis game, or a weapon when playing a fighting game.

“We have an example of a bowling game [where] you can wave the remote and that actually controls your game,” said Ninis Samuel, director of marketing strategy and programs.

The company is bundling some motion-based games with the PC to use with the remote-based gaming controller. Titles of the games weren’t immediately available.

Lenovo is trying to capitalize on the trend of entertainment options merging into the PC. Few are able to play motion-based games, which could make this motion-based game controller a pioneer.

In addition to controlling TV functions and video recordings on the PC, the remote control can also be used as an air mouse that moves the mouse pointer when waved. It has some advantages over a conventional mouse — it can function without being on a surface and be used at a distance — when sitting on a couch, for example.

If the air mouse wasn’t enough, the remote also works as a VOIP (voice over Internet protocol) handset. “If you have telephony software on your PC like Windows Live or Skype, you can use your remote to make those phone calls because it essentially can act as a phone,” Samuel said.

The IdeaCentre A600 starts at a price of US$999. The desktop has a 21.5-inch screen that supports 1920 by 1280-pixel resolution for high-definition video playback. It runs on Intel Pentium Dual Core or Core 2 Duo mobile processors, supports up to 4GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It includes Wi-Fi wireless networking and runs on the Windows Vista OS.

If tomorrow, when the New Xbox Experience launches, you can’t get certain movies from Netflix to stream on your Xbox 360, don’t blame Microsoft; blame Sony.

Steve Swasey, Netflix’s Director of Corporate Communications, confirmed this rumor with the following PR-friendly explanation: Today, titles regularly come in and out of license and there is a natural ebb and flow to what we have on license at any given point in time. In the case of Xbox 360, a few hundred titles are temporarily unavailable to be streamed via the Xbox game console.

What the Netflix spokesperson didn’t say is that there’s a common pattern with these “temporarily unavailable” movies; they all seem to be films from Sony’s subsidiaries (Columbia Pictures, TriStar Pictures, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, etc.). Although the Netflix spokesman won’t confirm such pattern, users who got the NXE earlier claim so. An additional comment from the Netflix representative suggests this is indeed a problem exclusive to the Xbox 360 platform:

Those titles are still available to be watched on subscribers’ computers and on TVs via other partner devices, and we hope they’ll be licensed for Xbox 360 shortly.

Time will tell if Sony is indeed blocking its films from streaming on the Xbox 360, but it shouldn’t come as a surprise.

Social networking on the World Wide Web is no longer the exclusive domain of techies or members of Generation Y. American military troops, their families and supporters now also have their own version of YouTube as the U.S. Defense Department launched on Tuesday TroopTube.

The military opened the video sharing portal with the help of Delve Networks, a Seattle-based start-up IT company. The launch came 15 months after the department restricted access of YouTube and other video sites to the military. The Defense Department banned in May 2007 employees and troops from accessing YouTube and MySpace using the agency’s computer system due to issues concerning security and bandwidth. With TroopTube, techie soldiers who lug their laptops with their firearms on the front line will stay connected, said Delve chief executive Alex Castro.

Tune into 1 Man and a Mic on Friday to hear Hank’s take on this one.

Very specific streets, actually it’s placing “I’m a PC” recording booths outside of Apple stores, like the one pictured here in Birmingham, England. The booth is staffed with three ‘Softies who’ll try to sell you on the latest in Windows tech while making nyah-nyah faces at Apple store patrons, and guests are invited to make a short video explaining why they, too, are PCs.

Xbox 360 owners got a double-dose of news today, both firmware and hardware-related. First up is word that the forthcoming New Xbox Experience will be offering Netflix video streaming in high-definition at the same time as other media-delivery platforms.

Unfortunately, the HD Netflix streaming will require a robust high-speed Internet connection with about 8-10 Mbps of bandwidth. It also won’t be available to PCs and Macs which use the service.

Two weeks before the NXE launches, Microsoft will begin offering a long-rumored stand-alone hard drive bundle for the 360. Inventively called the Xbox 360 Hard Drive 60GB Live Pack, the package comes with a 60GB HDD, a 3-month Xbox Live Gold subscription, a wired Xbox Live headset and an ethernet cable.
