Get ready to kill some DC Heros!
Contrary to the initial announcement, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe will have (some) Fatalities; though less blood and a Teen rating remain.
“All of the MK characters and all of the DC villains will have Fatalities,” said Mortal Kombat founder Ed Boon, in an interview with GameSpot published on Monday. “The DC heroes who don’t kill that often will have Brutalities that will function just like Fatalities but don’t actually kill the opponent.”
In April, it was revealed on announcement that Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe would carry a teen rating and feature less blood, the latter of which has been a staple to the venerable fighting series.
Additionally, it was reported that Fatalities would not be returning due to initial objections from DC Comics and the toned down violence.
As expected, Midway will be showing the game at E3 next month, specifically four characters and two arenas. Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is scheduled for release on Xbox 360 and PS3 this fall
