With a finish that couldn’t have been scripted any better; one of the greatest quarterbacks in the modern era threw a pick six that put the game out of reach for the Colts.

Drew Brees put on a passing clinic and the Saints defense answered the call when necessary. Super Bowl XLIV won’t be remembered as being a close game (even though it was way closer than the final score indicated). Super Bowl XLIV will be remembered for the story of New Orleans and their long journey both on and off the field.

The Saints have 19 restricted and unrestricted free agents so this was their best shot to get the win and cement their legacy in NFL history. While the Colts will just reload and stay at, or near, the top of the heap, the Saints will have a tougher road to return to the top of the mountain.
